Florida auto accidents: Man killed in multi-car collision

When multiple vehicles are involved in a collision, the results are rarely positive. This is especially true when larger vehicles are present in auto accidents. A Florida man recently died in an accident with multiple vehicles, including an RV.

According to authorities, the crash occurred when the driver of a car swerved to avoid a furniture dolly in the road. In doing so, she crossed into another lane, striking an RV and then the median. The RV was pushed into the path of a pickup truck. That impact caused the truck to overturn. A fourth car was also struck in the incident while trying to avoid the initial crash.

The man driving the pickup truck suffered serious injuries despite wearing his seat belt and was taken to the hospital following the crash. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries later. Police reported that several other people suffered injuries, though they did not elaborate on the extent of those injuries. The driver of the fourth car left the scene and remains unidentified.

In this situation, the family of the victim may consider filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the party or parties believed to be responsible. Through a successfully presented claim, they could receive monetary damages to help pay for medical bills, funeral costs and any other financial expenses related to the collision. Families who have lost loved ones in auto accidents may have the right to file wrongful death claims on behalf of the victims. Experienced Florida personal injury attorneys can assist families by providing more information to those interested.
