Personal injury claim possible remedy for man injured in crash

Often, when someone hears of a car accident, he or she typically imagines two or more vehicles colliding. However, collisions may not always involve more than one vehicle. In a recent accident in Florida, a car crashed into a building, causing personal injury to several people.

A driver in the parking lot of a Florida Dunkin' Donuts accidentally crashed into the building. A witness and passenger in the vehicle stated that the driver was attempting to adjust her position in a parking space and mistakenly drove forward instead of backing up. The car crashed through a glass door and ended up in the dining area of the restaurant.

A total of six people were injured. One man was rushed to the hospital for serious injuries. The remaining victims were treated at the scene, four of whom only suffered minor injuries. Reports indicate that the car was finally moved from the restaurant about two hours after the incident.

The victim who suffered serious injuries may consider filing a personal injury claim against the driver of the car. If his claim is successful, he could then be awarded monetary damages that could help pay for his medical bills and other monetary losses related to the crash. The other victims may also consult attorneys to discover whether they may be able to file claims as well. Any Florida resident injured in a car accident may consider consulting an experienced personal injury attorney. An attorney could assess a client's situation and assist clients navigate the legal proceedings.
