Nursing home may face wrongful death lawsuits

When a Florida resident requires more medical or daily assistance than a family can offer, the family often chooses to place them in a skilled nursing facility. The decision for temporary or permanent residence in a nursing home for a loved one can be a difficult decision for a family, but families hope that patients will receive the best possible care. Sadly, multiple residents recently died under the care of a nursing home staff following Hurricane Irma. Some of the families may choose to file wrongful death lawsuits following the deaths.

Motorcycle accidents: Man killed after thrown from bike

The almost year-round warm weather of Florida makes it an environment favorable for motorcycle riding. Of course, with more bike riders on the road, more serious motorcycle accidents may occur. Unfortunately, there may a bias against motorcyclists as they are often viewed as fast and risky riders, though the truth is that many such accidents are caused by the negligence of others. Victims of collisions often find it beneficial to have an attorney advocate on their behalf following a collision. One family may choose to seek the advice of an attorney after the recent death of their loved one in a fatal collision.

Wife files premises liability suit re husband's stadium beating

Anytime large crowds gather in stadiums, concert venues, parks or other places in Florida, there is a risk of attendees being harmed if a crowd gets out of control. Places often protect attendees of events by providing security, adequate lighting and other means of crowd control. Sadly, one man in another state was tragically injured leaving a baseball game with 20,000 other fans. His wife has filed a premises liability lawsuit against the stadium where the accident occurred and her husband's attackers.
